We have to have some level of regulation otherwise what is the point. There have been so many athletes down through the years trying to deceive the authorities and maybe we have missed some and they got away. Who knows, but one things for sure, they can carry on like nothing happened but in the back of their minds they cheated.
Match fixing and taking drugs to improve performance and financial status are both as bad as each other. I am glad that Barry Hearn of World Snooker decided to ban Stephen Lee for over 10 years. Its unacceptable to be doing such a horrible thing to a genuine opponent.
So the moral of the story is Don't take drugs and don't cheat and train harder and everything will work out just fine.
