What really worries me about this missing case is that a young woman has disappeared and nobody has a clue where she is. In Ireland we have our fair share of women vanish just out of thin air. In some cases the person is never found. A hammer, screwdriver and Lip Gloss were found yesterday near the scene of where Libby was last seen. These are connected to another case and have been ruled out of this investigation.
Timeline of events
Libby is out with her friends and they go to a club and she is not allowed in because of being too drunk,
Friends get her in a taxi at approx 11pm and she arrives home says her mother.
At 11.45pm she is seen close by on a bench by a stranger who pulls his car over to check if she is ok.
Neighbours see her arrive home before that and she is seen stumbling on the road.
So what happened next?
Having followed many of these cases before, I have to assume that some harm has come to Libby. She either had an accident and fell into a river or lake or was abducted by someone she knows or by a person who noticed her inability to stand up and took advantage of her. Police need to do door to door inquiries of the estate where she lives and also need to establish has anybody being acting very unusual in the last few days. Although my theories are pure speculation, I am certain that she is either being held against her will or she had an accident somewhere close by.
My conclusions are that something sinister may have happened to Libby. Neighbours have said on twitter that the area has gone down in the last few years so we must believe that the neighbourhood is not safe after dark. I hope I am wrong and that Libby turns up safe and well. May God take care of her where ever she may be.
